"Jalka" - the Arduino-based MIDI foot controller

In order to increase their knowledge of electronics and Arduino, forum member "boguz" has designed and created an outstanding foot-controlled MIDI input box, called the "Jalka". It contains eight buttons that can respond to push and push-hold, as well as miscellaneous controls and potentiometers for altering sound. Below is a video demonstrating the Jalka in action:

It's great to see newcomers make the effort of constructing a "final product" of their ideas and sharing it with us. To find out more, visit the Arduino forum. And for more, we're on twitter and Google+, so follow us for news and product updates as well.

When adding external circuitry such as the soft switch described above to your project, and need to make it more permanent than using a solderless breadboard - consider our range of ProtoShields. From the tiny LeoStick to the Mega range, we offer a complete range for you to work with.
