The Arduino-powered "DinoCalc" checks your maths for you

Normally a calculator would give you the answers to your mathematical questions - however the following project by Instructables user "weaseljones" does quite the opposite. Instead, their DinoCalc will tell you if you are right or wrong after entering a simple problem. For example, if you enter 2 x 2 = 5 it will indicate you're incorrect. Apart from being a fun and interesting project to make it would also have educational uses for young learners (and perhaps teach the older students a thing or two).

Based around a smaller Arduino-compatible board you can recreate the project yourself in a variety of physical manners - and would neatly fit one of our LeoStick boards. The project is incredibly detailed and an excellent Instructable, so visit the DinoCalc page for more information. And for more, we're on twitter and Google+, so follow us for news and product updates as well.

So what is a LeoStick? It's the Arduino Leonardo-compatible board that's cheaper and smaller than the original:

Apart from being one of the smallest Arduino-compatibles on the market with USB, it also has an onboard RGB LED and piezo which can be used a knock sensor and various tune and sound effects. Plus you can add extra circuitry with the matching protostick! For more information and to order, click here.
