The "WOMinator" MIDI bass pedals project

 Music and electronics enthusiast Lee O'Donnell had wanted a bass pedal system, however couldn't justify the purchase price of a commercial unit. Instead, he used an Arduino and some pedals from an old organ to recreate his own - with great success. The Arduino platform and MIDI audio systems can work together well, and Lee has demonstrated that with his project. Apart from supplying the sketch and a few notes, the entire construction process has been documented so you can recreate your own - and in the following video the system is demonstrated in detail:
