Q*bot the Biped Robot

It's always great to see Freetronics gear in the wild, and the next example is demonstrated on Lets Make Robots by member cevinius. He's created a bipedal robot - meaning it has two legs - which can walk along at a fair clip. With two servos and an ultrasonic distance sensor for object avoidance the Q*bot is a fun and simple example of home-made robotics that you can create yourself. A quick demonstration is shown in the following video:

For details and information to make your own version, visit the Q*bot page on LMR.  And for more, we're on facebookGoogle+, and twitter - so follow us for news and product updates as well.

Need an Arduino Leonardo-compatible for projects like the robot above? Check out out LeoStick board - It's the Arduino Leonardo-compatible board that's cheaper and smaller than the original:

Apart from being one of the smallest Arduino-compatibles on the market with USB, it also has an onboard RGB LED and piezo which can be used a knock sensor and various tune and sound effects. Plus you can add extra circuitry with the matching protostick! For more information and to order, click here.
