Make a huge motion-sensing eye with Freetronics DMD

Although you can use our Dot Matrix Display units for useful text and information displays, each pixel is individually-addressable - which allows for all sorts of graphical displays. One fantastic example of this has been provided by Instructables user "aidanq" who has used one of our DMDs to create an amusing "eye" display, which is activated by a motion detector connected to his Arduino.

Doing so is easy, and by following the project Instructable you'll be going in no time at all. And for more, we're on twitter and Google+, so follow us for news and product updates as well.

As used in the project mentioned above, check out our Freetronics Dot Matrix Displays. They're simple to use, yet very bright for indoor and outdoor situations. Available in various colours, the 32 x 16 LED matrix can display text and graphics quite easily - and can be daisy-chained together for extended displays.
