Freetronics was the official Payload Hardware Partner for ArduSat, the project that launched a tiny satellite with an Arduino-based payload in late 2013.

An important part of our participation in this project is to take the availability of space-ready hardware well beyond the initial ArduSat launch, and put it in the hands of students, researchers and individuals around the world to open up new possibilities in space-based citizen science. As the hardware is developed we'll add references here to help you get started with your very own space mission, whether it actually reaches orbit or is confined to your classroom, or perhaps a high-altitude balloon launch.
